Position Summary
Ensures adequate inventory of materials and products in accordance with inventory cycles and organizational philosophy. Conducts daily inventory analysis to solve inventory problems. Develops and implements inventory control procedures. Coordinates and manages daily physical cycle counts. Trains and manages an inventory team.

Essential Job FunctionsThe following duties are normal for this position. The incumbent may perform some or all of these duties however; it is not an exclusive or all-inclusive list. Other duties may be assigned.Implements inventory management strategies to assure company objectives in the areas of safety, productivity, quality, customer service, cost and profitability
Directs staffing, training, and performance management to develop and improve inventory management function
Manages and tracks product inventories, providing direction on work in process, finished goods and aged inventories to assure financial reconciliation and inventory integrity
Directs and prioritizes the daily activities including job packet review, cycle counts, audits, damaged material management, and waste tracking and disposal
Drives continuous improvement initiatives for inventory management process and information flow
Prepares and reviews required business reports
Ensures and supports to make sure Food safety, Quality, HACCP and GMP is always followed.
Education & ExperienceBachelor's degree required
Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience required
Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesKnowledge of and ability to use and influence organization's policies, standards and procedures guiding manufacturing processes
Knowledge of strategies and tools for controlling and optimizing the factors that lie between the purchase of raw materials and delivery of finished products
Ability to effectively manage the business relationship and transactions with the suppliers of raw materials or product components
Knowledge of issues and considerations for effectively managing local or distributed inventories of raw materials, work in progress and finished goods
Knowledge of the processes, tools and operational considerations for effective and efficient movement of goods and materials throughout the manufacturing cycle
Knowledge of the day-to-day operations of a manufacturing plant or facility
Physical Requirements & Work EnvironmentPrimarily works in a production and/or warehouse setting with time also spent in an office setting
Frequent walking and standing required
Occasional travel required
Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs.
