Position Summary:

Andersons Liquor is seeking a detail-oriented and data-driven Inventory & Purchasing Analyst to support purchasing decisions across our 22 retail locations. This position plays a key role in ensuring the right products are in the right stores at the right time, balancing data analysis and inventory optimization.

The ideal candidate thrives on working with numbers, enjoys problem-solving, and has strong Excel and analytical skills. This role is ideal for someone with a background or interest in accounting or data analytics.

Responsibilities:

Utilize advanced Excel skills to place orders, track, analyze, and report on inventory data. Submit and reconcile orders with suppliers, ensuring accuracy and timeliness Analyze sales and inventory data to identify trends and optimize stock levels Ensure purchasing decisions align with budget limits while maintaining optimal product selection and inventory levels Review weekly "add-on" order requests; approve or decline based on sales trends, inventory levels, and promotional calendars Provide general administrative support to the head office as needed

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency is required (e.g., lookups, formulas, data validation).

Strong numerical and analytical skills with the ability to interpret and act on data insights.

Proven attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to balance multiple deadlines.

Experience or education in accounting, finance, business administration, or data analytics is an asset.

Prior experience in the liquor industry or retail inventory management is preferred but not required.

Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with multiple store managers and suppliers.
