JOB SUMMARY
The Inventory Coordinator is responsible for managing, tracking, and organizing telecommunications equipment and supplies across company locations, warehouses, and project sites. This role ensures accurate inventory levels, timely procurement, and proper distribution of materials to support network installation, maintenance, and service delivery operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Maintain and update inventory records for telecom equipment such as routers, switches, cables, modems, radios, and fiber components.
Coordinate the receipt, storage, and dispatch of telecommunications hardware and consumables.
Perform regular audits and cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy and compliance with internal standards.
Collaborate with field technicians, project managers, and procurement teams to forecast demand and avoid stockouts or overstocking.
Monitor inventory levels using inventory management systems (e.g., NetSuite, etc.) and generate reports as needed.
Ensure equipment is stored properly, labeled accurately, and tracked by serial numbers or barcodes.
Create uniformity among all corporate locations for inventory, including monitoring all transfer orders
Develop inventory and rental management metrics and measures that are aligned with the goals and objectives of the Company
Assist in preparing and shipping equipment to field sites, customers, or vendors.
Manage returns, repairs, and disposal of obsolete or damaged equipment in accordance with company policies.
Comply with safety standards and regulatory requirements during inventory handling and storage.
Support telecom rollout projects by preparing kits, staging materials, and coordinating logistics.
Work with the Purchasing department to create PO's, maintain expediting reports, including delivery dates and back orders.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of four (4) years of experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, or logistics
High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education or certification in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or related field
Current and valid Class 5 Drivers Licence, and a clean 5-year Driver Abstract
Ability to successfully pass a Criminal Background Check
Strong interpersonal and excellent customer service skills
Effective at fostering solid relationships with both internal and external customers
Ability to prioritize your work and meet multiple deadlines
High comfort level working in a fast-paced team environment that is constantly changing
Strong written and verbal communication skills
High Level of proficiency with Microsoft office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and in computer application programs such as Outlook, MS Teams, SharePoint, etc.
Experience with multiple ERP and business management systems
Key attention to detail
Systems and process thinker
Forklift experience
ASSET
Experience with NetSuite ERP
Experience with online ordering and fulfillment
Inventory experience within the telecommunications industry
Physical Demands:
The Inventory Coordinator must be able to spend the day sitting, walking or standing. There is also a requirement of warehouse duties, including, lifting, moving materials up to 30 lbs. The incumbent will be required to look at a computer screen for long periods of time. There is a possibility of eye and/or joint strain related to operating computer equipment.
