Inventory Control & Systems Analyst

Job Description

The Inventory Control & Systems Analyst is responsible for managing and improving inventory control operations while supporting inventory-related systems, data analytics, and automation initiatives. This role partners closely with Purchasing, Warehouse, Production, and IT to ensure accurate inventory management, efficient material flow, and continuous process improvement in a regulated manufacturing environment.

Inventory Control & Operations

Coordinate with Purchasing, Warehouse, and Production teams to prioritize and schedule daily and weekly inventory-related activities. Serve as the primary point of contact for inventory control issues, escalations, and system-related inquiries. Provide hands-on support with inventory tasks as required to maintain operational efficiency and accuracy. Support inventory containment activities, including verification, segregation, and traceability of impacted materials.
Inventory Analysis & Continuous Improvement

Monitor inventory processes to ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficient material flow. Track, analyze, and report on inventory KPIs (e.g., inventory accuracy, variances, shortages, turns). Investigate inventory discrepancies and lead corrective and preventive actions. Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements, including automation and system enhancements.
Systems, Data & Digital Enablement

Support and optimize inventory management systems, including ERP and WMS platforms. Utilize data analytics, reporting tools, and AI-enabled features (e.g., forecasting, trend analysis, anomaly detection) to support inventory planning and decision-making. Act as a liaison between Operations and IT for inventory system enhancements, testing, troubleshooting, and user support. Develop dashboards, reports, and documentation to improve visibility, consistency, and data quality.
Training, Collaboration & Compliance

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish and maintain inventory control practices aligned with industry and regulatory requirements. Train and support team members on inventory control procedures, material handling practices, and system usage. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and promote a safe, organized, and compliant workplace. Lead by example, fostering accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
Experience & Technical Skills

Minimum 5 years of experience in inventory control or materials management within a regulated manufacturing or supply chain environment. Hands-on experience with ERP and/or WMS systems. Experience using data analytics, automation tools, or AI-supported solutions in inventory or operations is an asset. Ability to support inventory-related system issues, reporting, and user training.
Education & Certifications

APICS certification or coursework (CPIM, CSCP) is considered an asset. Education or training in supply chain management, information systems, data analytics, or a related field is preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
