Inventory Control Coordinator

Job Description

The Inventory Control Coordinator is a key member of the Electronic Manufacturing Department and is responsible for the inventory control process, receiving, shipping for all parts in the Electronic Manufacturing. Ensuring that inventory is accurate and available for production, he/she is responsible for Putting/Pulling/Returning /Counting Inventory material and controlling inventory so that it is available for assembly of products which will ensure that orders can be shipped on time according to the production schedule.

Summary of Major Accountabilities



Inventory Support:



Receiving, Material Transfer, Packing, Palletization, Shipping

Maintain accurate counts of inventory using specialized software, systems and counting tools

Review and inspect all parts and products for defects, wear, and/or damage and report any concerns to the direct Supervisor

Organize, sort, place, FIFO and release materials using a Vertical Lift Machine

Organize, sort, place, and release materials on racks, shelves and/or bins according to predetermined sequence

Prepare internal orders by pulling parts according to relevant production documentation and SOPs

Examine physical inventories for the purpose of verifying stock and identifying losses

Investigate any discrepancies and report any risks to the direct Supervisor

Maintain documents, files, databases, and records for the purpose of documenting accurate inventory levels and providing reliable resource information

Respond to inquiries of staff for the purpose of providing information and/or direction regarding the status of parts and orders

Support team and Departmental goals:



Attend and participate in daily huddles, Electronic Manufacturing and Staff meetings as required

Maintain a clean and organized workspace and contribute to a safe work environment

Perform all duties in accordance with health and safety work requirements and processes

Participate in Internal and External Audit as part of OES Quality Management Systems.
Execute other tasks and provide back-up support to other team members, as required

Other related duties as assigned and communicated by the Direct Supervisor and/or Department Manager

Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)



1. High School Diploma and/or Post-Secondary Education in Supply Chain Management, Inventory Control, or related field

2. Experience working in a manufacturing environment is an asset

Excellent communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively in a team setting Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, and Epicor. Knowledge of OES Quality Management Systems, ISO 9000, and other SOPs.

a. Standing for extended periods (up to 8 hours).

b. Sustained hand-eye coordination.

4. Holding a valid forklift operator certification will be regarded as a valuable qualification.

5. Ability to work flexible shifts and perform overtime as required.

6. Capability to lift, push, pull, and/or carry objects, utilizing abdominal and lower back muscles for prolonged support.

7. Requirement for good manual dexterity (hand, hand with arm, two hands) and multi-limb coordination.

8. Mandatory use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

9. Awareness of hazards associated with the industry.

10. Potential exposure to dust, hazardous chemicals, and moderate noise levels.

11. Ability to interact effectively with multiple stakeholders in relation to electronics production.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
