JOB SUMMARY:
The Inventory Clerk is responsible for supporting a range of inventory functions, including organizing and tracking stock, as well as assisting with shipping and receiving operations. This role involves performing administrative tasks to ensure accurate documentation of stock movements, order fulfillment, and financial asset tracking, as well as proper handling of incoming and outgoing shipments. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple responsibilities efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Receive and inspect incoming goods, ensuring they match purchase orders and are in good condition.
Record and update stock levels in the system to ensure accurate tracking of inventory.
Perform regular inventory counts to verify stock levels and identify discrepancies.
Organize and store items in the appropriate locations, ensuring proper labeling and easy accessibility.
Retrieve stock for order fulfillment, ensuring items are packed, labeled, and documented correctly.
Assist with preparing items for shipment, ensuring they are properly packaged and ready for delivery.
Collaborate with the purchasing team to resolve any discrepancies or issues with received stock.
Shipping & Receiving
Process outgoing shipments, including rental equipment, customer orders, and repairs, ensuring all documentation is completed accurately.
Receive incoming shipments, verifying the accuracy of the received items and updating records accordingly.
Create shipping labels, waybills, and coordinate with couriers for delivery.
Maintain an organized and efficient shipping and receiving area to ensure smooth operations.
Complete all shipping and receiving documentation accurately and file it for future reference.
Ensure inventory products are stored in an orderly manner that facilitates ease of access and promotes safe, efficient storage practices.
Keep the warehouse area organized and clean, ensuring that aisles and storage areas are tidy and accessible.
Conduct routine inspections of inventory handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) to ensure safe operation.
Perform necessary maintenance and report any equipment issues or safety concerns to the Inventory/Rentals Manager.
Administrative Support
Maintain accurate records of all stock movements, including receipts, shipments, and returns.
Assist in generating regular reports on stock levels and order fulfillment status.
Help track and organize materials for specific projects or job orders.
Provide clerical support to the Inventory/Rentals Manager and other teams to ensure the smooth flow of operations.
Respond to internal inquiries regarding stock availability, order status, and shipment details.
Communicate with vendors, customers, and internal teams to resolve issues related to stock and shipments.
Provide timely and accurate information regarding product availability and shipment tracking.
Address any customer concerns related to inventory or shipping promptly.
Provide excellent customer service by:
+ Responding to requests for information regarding inventory (e.g., stock status, features, cost, availability, etc.) in a timely manner.
+ Addressing inquiries and concerns about parts, offering advice as needed.
+ Documenting and processing orders accurately and promptly.
QUALIFICATIONS:
3+ years of experience in inventory control, shipping/receiving, or a related warehouse position
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Strong understanding of basic warehouse operations, inventory management, and stock handling procedures.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and shipping/receiving systems.
Other Requirements
Full, valid, and current driver's license
Clean 5-year driver's abstract
Valid Forklift operations ticket

The Inventory Clerk reports directly to the General Manager with dotted line to the Manager, Supply Chain. The incumbent will also work closely with:

WORKING CONDITIONS:
The Inventory Clerk will be required to work in both office and warehouse environments. Occasional exposure to outdoor weather conditions, moderate noise levels, and potentially hazardous materials may occur, with appropriate safety measures in place. Some local travel may be required for job-related activities.
PHYSICAL DEMANADS:
The Inventory Clerk must be able to spend the majority of the day sitting and/or standing. Stooping, bending, kneeling, squatting, and carrying will be required for short distances with weights up to 50 lbs. Loading and unloading products, as well as the use of the pallet jacks and forklift is a daily requirement of this role. The incumbent will also be required to look at a computer screen for extended periods of time.
