Inventory and Logistics Coordinator
The Inventory & Logistics Coordinator is responsible for managing, controlling, and coordinating inventory, materials, and logistics across multiple property storage locations. The role ensures the efficient flow, availability, and accountability of tools, materials, and supplies to support maintenance, facilities, and property operations while maintaining accurate records, cost control, and compliance with company standards.
Responsibilities
Inventory & Materials Management

  • Manage inventory across multiple storage locations, including head office maintenance shop, satellite maintenance shop facility, and site-based storage rooms
  • Receive, inspect, record, and store all incoming materials, tools, and supplies
  • Monitor and maintain inventory stock levels, usage trends, and established minimum/maximum thresholds
  • Conduct scheduled and ad hoc physical stock counts and reconcile variances
  • Track, document, and reconcile inter-site stock transfers to maintain inventory accuracy across all locations.
Logistics & Distribution
  • Coordinate delivery schedules and distribution of materials to property sites
  • Ensure timely availability of inventory for maintenance, projects, and emergency works
  • Liaise with suppliers, procurement, and property teams regarding deliveries and shortages
  • Support after-hours or urgent logistics requirements when necessary
Store & Asset Control
  • Maintain clean, organized, secure, and compliant storage areas at all locations
  • Ensure proper storage, labeling, and identification of inventory items
  • Control issuance of materials and tools to staff and contractors
  • Monitor asset usage and report loss, damage, or misuse
Reporting & Systems
  • Maintain accurate inventory records using inventory management or property systems
  • Prepare regular inventory, consumption, variance, and cost reports
  • Support audits, inspections, and compliance reviews
  • Recommend process improvements to improve efficiency and reduce waste
Compliance & Safety
  • Ensure adherence to all applicable safety, health, and environmental regulations at all inventory facilities
  • Implement safe handling and storage practices for materials and equipment
  • Report hazards, non-compliance, or risks related to inventory and storage to Environmental Health and Safety Specialist
Qualifications and experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Supply Chain Management, Logistics or Facilities training and post-secondary education are preferred
  • Must have a strong understanding of the English language, including the ability to communicate and understand detailed verbal and/or written instructions
  • Clear criminal record is required
  • Valid Class 5 Manitoba Driver's License and clear driver's abstract are required
  • Proven previous working experience in inventory, logistics, stores, or property management environments
  • Strong organizational, coordination, and record-keeping skills
  • Proficiency in basic computer systems (inventory software, spreadsheets, CMMS)
  • High attention to detail and strong accountability
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Experience coordinating inventory across multiple locations is preferred
Working Conditions
  • Regular movement between property sites and storage locations
  • Physical handling of materials and equipment as required
  • Flexible working hours may be required to support operational needs
