As a progressive and vibrant healthcare organization, we are committed to being an innovative center of excellence in community hospital care.Reporting to the Director, Professional Practice and Chief Practice Information Officer, the Manager, Interprofessional Practice will work collaboratively and in partnership with programs, departments and members of all interprofessional designations to support the strategic priorities of Halton Healthcare and the Office of Professional Practice. A focus on quality patient care outcomes through assessment, educational program planning, implementation, and evaluation processes is key. Your goal will be to enhance the knowledge, skills, and professionalism of the nursing and allied health teams.The Manager, Interprofessional Practice manages a team of corporate Professional Practice Clinicians and provides oversight and support for clinical student placements, interprofessional and nursing orientation, clinical documentation, medication safety, clinical emergency codes, product and equipment evaluations, along with many clinical, best practice and emerging evidence-based initiatives. In this role, you will serve as a liaison with partner hospitals and external organizations, such as professional regulatory colleges and educational institutions; participate in and/or lead committees and initiatives, including partnerships with other organizations. Additionally, you'll provide oversight for government supported programs such as the New Graduate Guarantee, Clinical Scholar and Internationally Educated Nurse ProgramsIn collaboration with the Director, Professional Practice and Chief Practice Information Officer, you will work with appropriate Regulatory bodies regarding investigations and practice concerns.
