This position is scheduled to start in Jan 2026. The hourly range for this role is $22-$26 per hour. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. The Intern will be trained in modelling electrical power systems for the purpose of completing power system analysis studies, including equipment specification and sizing, protective coordination studies, as well as safety arc-flash studies. Additional duties will include providing support to Professional Engineer's providing custom electrical design for new electrical protection systems and modernizing existing electrical protection systems. Provide applied engineering in the areas of power system studies, power quality analysis and electrical power system design. Performing short circuit, overcurrent coordination, load flow, power quality and arc flash hazard analysis studies. Review project specifications, single line diagrams and equipment Bill of Materials. Prepare power system study data requests and follow up as required. Assist with electrical substation and protection & control design tasks. Manage paperwork and office procedures. Perform all work at a high level. Perform other duties, as required. Currently enrolled in an Electrical Engineering Degree program with preference given to 3rd and 4th year students with a focus on electrical power systems. Possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted driver's license This position does not offer relocation. Candidates must reside within 120km of the company facility to be considered Legally authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship. Experience in the use of SKM PTW, ETAP, EDSA, CYME, or EasyPower power system analysis software would be a plus. Ability to read and understand single line diagrams and schematics would be an asset. Knowledge of applicable electrical code requirement and design practices an asset.
