Join our team and you will be a valuable contributor to the attraction and retention efforts of OHPR by:

  • Planning, coordinating and implementing social media and digital marketing, including the drafting of social media content and monitoring channel performance.
  • Supporting the development and delivery of various marketing projects and campaigns
  • Coordinating the planning of national and international recruitment events
  • Drafting marketing and communications content for recruitment and corporate materials
  • Participating in working groups, committees and project teams
  • Supporting the development of presentations, documents, reports and other submissions to senior leadership
Primary Accountabilities

This position contributes to the work of the Office by providing advice and support on attraction and engagement strategies. You will be responsible for implementing tactical plans that deliver best practices for social media, digital marketing, event management and leads management to achieve recruitment and retention outcomes. You will work directly with department staff and health system partners on projects.

What Your Day Will Look Like

As the Marketing Intern you will work collaboratively as part of our dynamic Recruitment and Retention team to attract healthcare professionals to Nova Scotia through the delivery of social media, digital marketing, event management and leads management, with a high-level of client service. You will gain experience in a variety of platforms to engage healthcare professionals about opportunities to live and work in Nova Scotia.

Work outside of normal working hours may be required occasionally.

Qualifications and Experience

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:
  • Applicants must have graduated from a post-secondary institute, such as a university, community college or recognized trade school within the past 3 years of their application.
  • You possess exceptional communication (written and verbal), including strong editing skills.
  • Demonstrated experience with social media and other new and emerging communications platforms.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills, considering diverse perspectives.
  • You possess strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects.
  • You will demonstrate qualifications and experience in analytical thinking, adaptability and flexibility, attention to detail, outcome focus, effective interactive communication, teamwork and collaboration, and intercultural and diversity proficiency.

Additional Information

This is a Term employment opportunity with an anticipated end date of May 31, 2025. The appointment status (\'term\', \'temporary\' or \'casual\') is dependent on the start date of the successful candidate.

Pay Grade: PR 06

Salary Range: $1,915.37 - $2,348.72 Bi-Weekly
