Job Description

As an Internship and Work-Integrated Learning Coordinator - ECE and SCC, you play a critical role in the academic and professional success of students enrolled in the Early Childhood Education and Special Care Counselling programs, where internships are mandatory for graduation. You ensure the complete coordination of internships, acting as a strategic bridge between students, teachers and internship sites, in order to guarantee experiences that comply with pedagogical and ministerial requirements and promote academic perseverance.
RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plan, organize and coordinate the mandatory internships of ECE and SCC students, ensuring optimal matching with the internship sites;
  • Identify, qualify and maintain a sustainable network of partners (childcare centres, schools, specialized centres, community organizations, etc.);
  • Accompany students before, during and after their internship (preparation, follow-up, interventions in case of difficulty);
  • Monitor the quality of internships and intervene quickly in complex or high-risk situations;
  • Manage the administrative aspects related to internships (agreements, insurance, certificates, documentation);
  • Work closely with supervising teachers to ensure that educational objectives are met;
  • Maintain the databases of internship sites and produce the required documentation;
  • Ensure the regulatory compliance of internships with ministerial and institutional bodies.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Diploma of Collegial Studies (DEC);
  • Minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience in an administrative or coordination role, ideally in education or workplaces;
  • Good knowledge of education, community and health sectors;
  • Functional proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
  • Fluency in the French language (oral and written);
  • Proficiency in the English language at a professional level (oral and written).
This role involves frequent interactions with internal and external customers and partners on a national and global scale. Professional proficiency in English is therefore a requirement for this role.
