The International Student Advisor works with all areas of the Vancouver Campus to develop and deliver programs, services and activities that promote student wellness and a sense of community within the University; assists students in their adjustment to university life at FDU-Vancouver; and provides opportunities for student personal growth and development. The incumbent will be the contact person for student immigration issues or concerns. The incumbent must have and maintain in good standing the Regulated International Student Immigration Advisor (RISIA) or the Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC) designation with the Immigration Consultants of Canada Regulatory Council (ICCRC). Additional responsibilities include planning and coordinating new student orientation programs, cultural and social programs, and co-curricular student activities and assuring adherence to immigration regulations. The International Student Advisor reports to the Director of Student Services.
