Job Summary

Our innovative and growing company is looking for a shipper / Receiver. In this role you will work closely with the production team and courier companies. The primary responsibility of the role is to ship electronic locomotive parts to our growing customer base. To receive parts from our suppliers and inventory all parts into our warehouse. This role within our company is important to the success of our company. On Track Controls specializes in railway control products and innovative solutions - we are at the forefront of hydrogen and zero-emission locomotive control systems.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities may include , but are not limited to:

Receive parts from suppliers and customers. Prepare orders and packages needed for shipping to clients. During downtime assist with warehouse work. Operate floor cleaner. Assist with inventory / cycle counts. Load and unload freight using forklift or pallet jack. Remove all cardboard and garbage to bins outside of building. Check incoming vendor materials for damage. Ensure stock is put away into inventory properly. Check incoming materials are correct based on purchase orders. Handling shipping material and all paperwork for international and domestic locations.

Qualifications

Minimum of 3 years' experience in previous Shipping/Receiving position required. OTC is typically a one-person department when it comes to Shipping/Receiving. There's enough volume that needs to pass accurately and efficiently in both directions that someone with 3yrs experience at least, is required to be considered able to handle the volume.

A forklift operation license is an asset but can be trained on this once hired. Training is typically outsourced to a certification body that can independently train and supply a certificate once trained.
