Job Details

Position Title: Digital Marketing Coordinator

Status: Initiatives & Opportunities.(I/O - 1 year contract)

Hours: 37.5 hours

Faculty/Department: International

Campus/Location: North Campus

Salary: Pay Band G - Min ($30.87) - Max ($35.77)

What you will do:

Reporting to the Associate Director, Digital Analytics and Strategy, the International Digital Marketing Coordinator builds and maintains a strong and consistent global brand for Humber through a four-pronged approach:

Social Media Branding
The incumbent will maintain a strong digital presence within the online and virtual Humber community. The Digital Marketing Coordinator helps develop original content and suggests creative ways to engage students and applicants, contributes to the social media calendar, and assists with reviewing content. In addition, the Digital Marketing Coordinator will monitor social and share proactive and reactive communications when needed.

The incumbent is required to have a thorough technical understanding of the set-up, administration, and maintenance of social media platforms such as though not limited to Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, VK, Weibo, WeChat and YouTube.

The incumbent is also responsible for identifying, connecting, and collaborating with current students and graduates to create student testimonials for use on social.

Paid Digital Marketing

The incumbent designs, deploys and reports on all paid digital marketing campaigns on platforms including but not limited to Google Search and Display, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc. Incumbent will get briefing notes from their manager or recruiter but will need to learn more by asking the right questions. They will then design the campaign based on specific targeting features, calls to action and objectives of the campaign. The incumbent will need to review it regularly once live and optimize it as needed and report on performance.

Digital Analytics

The incumbent will design, develop, and regularly run campaign and web analytics reports using native digital analytics platforms as well as Google Analytics. There will be regular and ad-hoc reporting. Reporting will consist of campaign analytics to assess the success of the creative, and web analytics to assess engagement, action, and conversion.

Web and Special Projects

The incumbent will be the key point of coordination to update the Humber Global website. The role will be both proactive as well as reactive. The incumbent must diligently monitor all web content and flag content that is out of date and provide updated copy by liaising with the subject matter expert. Other staff in the office will also approach the incumbent to advise of any content updates.

The incumbent will also work on special projects such as building and maintaining interactive viewbooks through Edukudu, assisting with the coordination of the open house, working with 3rd party vendors for marketing campaigns etc.

Qualifications

What you bring to the role:

Education

Marketing, graphic design, communications, journalism, public relations, or related field from a recognized post-secondary educational institution. Bachelor\'s degree preferred

  • Google Analytics Certifications
Experience & Skills

Minimum three (3) years of experience in marketing, social media content creation and management.
  • Experience in developing and implementing communication and social media plans.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to produce effective writing styles/formats for a wide variety of electronic/web-based, print and outdoor media for marketing, media relations, and internal and external communications objectives.
  • Positive attitude, detail and customer oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Experience in using analytics tools such Google Analytics, MailChimp Analytics, etc and can draw meaningful results from the reporting and implement changes as needed.
  • Knowledge of best practices in digital and traditional communication with diverse audiences.
  • Experience in the production of digital promotional material (video, photo, animation) and printed materials (brochure, poster, advertising).
  • Familiarity with best practices in web content as well as site navigation, usability, and design.
  • Demonstrated strong understanding of graphic design principles, plus a working knowledge of graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator).
  • Advanced competency in Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, MailChimp and HTML.
  • Advanced competency with various presentation platforms.
  • Advanced competency in photography and videography.
  • Ability to work with tight deadlines with a range of demands.
  • Capacity to take initiative while demonstrating good judgement.
  • Problem solver and independent worker.
  • Quick decision-making skills and good judgment with the demonstrated ability to use discretion when dealing with sensitive topics.
  • Cross-cultural sensitivity and capacity to work in a flexible and fast-paced environment
  • Able to be independently motivated within a team environment.
  • Experience in planning and marketing events is considered an asset.
