The Opportunity: An International Admissions Specialist is responsible for determining applicant eligibility from a variety of countries, admitting, and registering students into post-secondary diploma and certificate programs, providing information, and advising students of admission and registration requirements, as well as providing guidance to non-qualified applicants of alternative routes for admission. The primary focus of the position is applicant eligibility review. The incumbent will support student academic record activities in non-peak application periods. The incumbent also actively participates in enrolment conversion planning and activities.

What you need to be successful:

  • diploma in business, office administration, communications/public relations, or equivalent combination of education
  • minimum three years\' admissions and client service experience, preferably in a post-secondary international environment
  • demonstrated success in a client service environment
  • an understanding of enrolment services considered an asset
  • excellent organizational, record-keeping, data entry skills
  • exceptional attention to detail
  • excellent written/verbal communication and customer service skills
  • MS Office Suite computer proficiency required
  • familiarity with other computer applications and technology an asset
  • strong interpersonal skills to work effectively within a collaborative team environment
This is a full-time support staff vacancy, Payband F \xe2\x80\x93 $28.56-$33.11 (starting rate $28.56), 35 hours/week.

NOTE: I/O staff, Appendix D and PT staff are considered internal applicants.
