Your main mandate will be to participate in the planning and completion of operational audits and 52-109 (Canadian SOX) compliance audits included in the audit plan as well as special mandates. Your role will be to ensure that internal controls are effective and efficient to minimize the risks to which the company is exposed. You will carry out mandates throughout the TC Transcontinental organization.

During these different mandates, you will act as a business partner and will acquire an in-depth understanding of the various processes, operations, and business units of the company.

Workplace: This position can be performed remotely (hybrid). Up to 25% travel to company sites as required.

Specifically, your daily routine will look like this:

Conduct operational audits

Work with management on audit planning, execution and reporting on audit findings and recommendations.

Ensure high quality of work, alignment with audit plan and compliance with audit methodologies.

Identify improvement opportunities and make appropriate recommendations.

Follow up on recommendations made during previous audits.

Carry out tests to assess the design and effectiveness of the NI 52-109 program (Canadian SOX)

Participate in all stages of the audit (from planning to writing the report).

Assist operations in setting up appropriate controls and provide training on existing controls.

Participate in special projects such as: advisory mandates, mandates following whistleblowing, assistance to external auditors, etc.

Who we are looking for

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred

2 years of experience in internal or external audit

CPA and/or CIA title (an asset)

Knowledge of accounting and auditing standards

Bilingualism an asset (French / English / Spanish)
