What We're Looking For



We are seeking a detail-oriented, proactive

Internal Accountant

to join our team. This person will help manage day-to-day books, financial operations, lead payment processes, assist in tax planning, and complete ongoing audit checks. The ideal candidate loves structure but also thrives in a dynamic, creative environment -- someone who is very tech savvy (willing to learn or use Ai tools), understands numbers, systems, and also has a passion for music, arts, and culture.

Key Responsibilities:



Maintain accurate, up-to-date financial records across departments, including accounts payables, payroll, expense tracking, P&L's, balance sheet etc. Oversee payment processing, bank reconciliations, and cash flow planning for future investment. Assist with tax planning and compliance; prepare or coordinate preparation of tax filings for Canada and US. Support annual and periodic audits; interface with external auditors and CEO. Design, implement, and refine accounting systems, workflows, policies, and controls. Produce periodic financial reports (monthly, quarterly, annual) for management and stakeholders. Collaborate with other teams (A&R, marketing, licensing, etc.) to understand departmental needs, budgets, and financial impact. Provide financial guidance, recommendations, and ensure that the company operates with fiscal responsibility & transparency. Some basic human resource work and payroll management.

Qualifications & What Will Make You Stand Out:



University degree in Accounting, or equivalent; CPA / CA / CGA / CMA designation preferred or in progress. Experience working with music royalties (publishing and sound recording globally) and digital advertising revenue (advertising models & subscription) Proven experience (5+ years ideally) in accounting / finance roles; experience with audits, tax compliance, financial reporting. Strong knowledge of Canadian and US accounting standards, tax rules, payroll, etc. Comfort working with modern accounting software / ERP tools; proficiency in Excel and other financial tools. Strong organizational skills; attention to detail; ability to build & document systems. Excellent communication skills; able to explain financial matters in clear, non-technical terms across departments.

Bonus / Preferred:



Passion for music, arts, culture, media industries. Experience working with creative businesses or in the music/media sector. Familiarity with rights licensing, content monetization, or digital media finance.

Eligibility:



Must be eligible to work in Canada. Willingness to work in Vancouver and to come into the office some days.

Pay: $60,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
