Position Details:

We are currently hiring an intern looking for a winter term position, January to April 2024 in our Toronto or Winnipeg Office (hybrid work environment). Candidates in an undergraduate program that will be returning to school after their internship are eligible to apply.

Responsibilities:

• Contributes to reports production required by the various Treasury functions (Corporate Development, Investor Relations, Capital & Liquidity Management, Cash Management, Mortgage & Finance)
• Supports the preparation of materials used to support strategic, financial, and capital recommendations and to communicate with internal constituents.
• When required, participates in building financial models and in performing in-depth due diligence and analysis to evaluate potential M&A Opportunities.
• Monitor financial and operational performance of existing strategic investments, assist in performing on-going valuations and monitoring ongoing developments and valuation benchmarks.
• Monitor financial market developments and evaluate key business metrics, valuation and analyst views.
• Support Treasury Team insights with ad-hoc research
• Performs any other related task requested by management or required in the course of their duties.

Requirements:

• Currently enrolled in a relevant post-secondary education program
• Interest and passion for a career in the financial industry
• Demonstrated leadership skills
• Creativity and innovation
• Ability to work well in a team environment and independently
• Analytical and problem solving skills
• Effective organizational and multi-tasking skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Related previous work experience is an asset
• Knowledge of French is an asset
