The Canadian Olympic Committee (COC) is a national, private, not-for-profit organization committed to high-performance sports excellence. We are the largest private supporter of high-performance sport in Canada and we are responsible for all aspects of Canada's involvement in the Olympic Movement, including participation in the Olympic and Pan American Games.


The purpose of this paid internship is to gain experience within the Sport Business team that regroups both Athlete Marketing and Games Business Portfolios by contributing to the planning and execution of the two stakeholders events happening this Winter; helping with multiple deliverables around Games preparation; and, assisting with the day-to-day management and leadership in athlete engagement across all COC departments.


LOCATION

This internship will be located at the COC office in Toronto, ON at 250 Yonge St. Suite 3000. We offer a hybrid work model that allows for up to two days of remote work each week.



CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND PRIORITIES



Athlete Marketing portfolio:


Support with the Milano 2026 Athlete Engagement process at-Games and at-Home strategy planning Support the delivery of the Athlete Engagement programming for the 2026 Team Canada Fanfest Assist with the Milano 2026 Athlete Engagement tracking report Support the team with the 7th edition of the OLY Canada Legacy Grant Update monthly athlete engagement tracking, athlete databases, NSO and agent contacts Support any other initiatives of the Athlete Marketing & Sustainability programs as required

Games Business portfolio:



Support to the Canada-based Ticketing Officer delivering the ticketing program for the Milano-Cortina 2026 Games upon request


QUALIFICATIONS AND CRITICAL SKILLS

Must be enrolled in a degree or diploma program in Business Management, Project Management, Sport Management, Marketing or related


Self-starter, motivated and takes initiative Good verbal and written communication skills Excellent interpersonal skills and confidence in dealing with timely or sensitive issues Ability to work in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Drive (Doc, Sheet, Slide) Editing, writing and proofreading skills (in English or French) are required Experience with WordPress and Mailchimp (or other email campaign software) an asset Naturally creative and willing to contribute to existing projects and communications Attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously Ability to work effectively both individually and on a team Great sense of accountability Strong time management skills to meet deadlines Bilingualism required (fluent in English and French) Some weekend work and travel may be required, lieu days will be provided for any weekend days worked Demonstrates and embodies the COC values of Accountability, Excellence, Fun, Respect and Bravery

This full-time internship will run from approximately January 2026 to April 2026, depending on the successful intern's availability and the academic calendar.


COMPENSATION
This is a paid internship. The intern will earn an hourly wage of $18.00 with a maximum of 35 hours per week.
