Intern, Property Tax (Canada)
This is a full-time summer internship lasting from May 11, 2026, until August 28, 2026.
Job Summary
The Intern, Canadian Property Tax is responsible for updating property tax assessment and tax payment on Canadian real estate assets. The incumbent assists in tax authority relations, including tax payments and assessments.
Major Responsibilities

  • Ensure all property tax invoices received are verified and processed for payment on time to avoid costly penalties
  • Make sure property assessments are either recorded or consistent with Systems, Applications and Products (SAP) records
  • Report on the processed tax invoices focusing on deadlines
  • Scan and attach property tax-related documents in SAP
  • Ensure asset inventory accuracy in SAP for Annual Statement reporting
  • Liaise with Property Tax Manager and tax authorities
  • Other administration tasks as required
Requirements
  • Fluently bilingual both written and verbal (English, French)
  • Ability to organize work and establish priorities to meet guidelines and deadlines
  • Capacity to work well under pressure
  • Aptitude to work as part of a team as well as independently
  • Applies critical thinking
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word) as well as SAP*
*Any experience/education/skills/knowledge for these above would be considered as an asset
Education
  • Working towards a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Real Estate background
