The duration is 8 months internships opportunities (up to 12 months) open to Mining Engineering students at our Diavik Diamond Mine in the Northwest Territories. This is a Fly-In-Fly-Out rotational roles. The schedule is a 2 weeks on /2 weeks off rotation that includes working weekends and holidays. The rotations will consist of 12-hour daily shifts. You will be flown in/out of the Diavik site from Yellowknife or Edmonton for your shifts and all accommodation and meals are included in camp.What you\'ll bring:

• Pursuing bachelor\'s or master\'s degree in Mining Engineering
• Highly self-motivated
• Outstanding organizational and participative skills
• Excellent communication skills are required to liaise with consulting engineers, contractors and management
• Have a valid driver\'s license
• Previous experience on a mine site is an asset but not necessary

Where you will be workingThe Diavik Diamond Mine, in Canada\'s Northwest Territories, is located on a 20 square kilometer island, called East Island, in Lac de Gras, a lake located 300 kilometers northeast of Yellowknife. It is 100 kilometers north of the tree line and 210 km south of the Arctic Circle.
