An exciting summer intern opportunity awaits a motivated student at our Calgary or Saskatoon office beginning May 2026 for an approximate 4-month term. This is a temporary, full-time, hourly-paid position that is open to current students who will be returning to their studies once this work term is complete. This position is not available for remote work.
This position plays a key role in the digital development team within Nutrien's IT Digital Delivery Center (DDC). The DDC oversees and executes the design, development, and delivery of digital and custom solutions for Nutrien. The DDC focuses on driving value from Nutrien's strategic digital technology investments by delivering exceptional experiences and placing humans and customer obsession at the center of what we do, what we develop, and how we deliver and sustain our digital assets.
What You'll Do:

• Develop, unit test, and deploy custom digital web apps hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Participate in the design, building, and maintenance of software modules.
• Shadow senior developers as they evaluate technologies and design for enterprise scalability, performance, and optimization.
• Build working knowledge about responsive React front ends, leading serverless technologies (such as Lambda and DynamoDB), and microservice-based architectures.
• Actively work with other roles in an enterprise agile delivery team, including project managers, business analysts, quality assurance, and UX/UI designers.
• Fix defects and participate in quality audit review processes, manual tests, and automation.
• Work with other IT teams - such as infrastructure, cyber security, and data services/analytics.
• Learn AWS, React, TypeScript, C#, Splunk, GitHub, Jira, and many other technologies.

What You'll Bring:

• Currently enrolled and working towards a diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• Curious mindset to investigate business needs or opportunities to leverage technology or digital solutions.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, an aptitude for problem-solving, and the ability to work in a team environment.
