Our team consists of 80 investment professionals with strong academic backgrounds (CA, CFA, MBA, CBV, PEng) and solid practical experience.We handle a geographically-diverse C$51 billion global investment portfolio and have offices in Toronto, London, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Sao Paulo! Our investments are primarily through direct, privately-held, controlling or co-controlling stakes, rather than through funds or passive holdings.What you\xe2\x80\x99ll doThe investment intern in this role will be involved in assisting the team in analysing potential new investment opportunities, managing our existing investments and partake in the following initiatives:Hone your financial modelling abilities by analysing investment opportunitiesLearn to identify key value drivers and risks for investments and perform related sensitivity and scenario analysesSupport due diligence exercisesPrepare valuations, presentations, and reports to senior investment professionalsDevelop and analyse business cases for portfolio company value creation initiatives (debt refinancings, expansion projects, management compensation, on-going budgeting, etc.);What you\xe2\x80\x99ll needCurrently pursuing an undergraduate or master\xe2\x80\x99s degree with a concentration in investments, finance, or accountingPrevious intern experience in M&A, investment banking, private equity, consulting, or equity research, with specific infrastructure or natural resources experience requiredAdvanced skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) requiredExcellent analytical and quantitative skills and ability to perform in-depth analysisStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to balance multiple priorities and initiatives while remaining detail-orientedMust be enrolled in 3rd / 4th year or related Masters\xe2\x80\x99 programYou must be enrolled in a co-op program or returning back to your studies after the work term is completed#LI-OTPPWhat we\xe2\x80\x99re offeringNumerous opportunities for professional growth and development, including lunch and learnsStudent led team building events on a monthly basisEmployee discount programs including Edvantage and PerkopolisAt Ontario Teachers\', diversity is one of our core strengths.
