About the Role

Corus Entertainment has an exciting opportunity for a Finance and Accounting Intern in our Toronto office. The candidate will have the opportunity to see many aspects of the business and work on varied projects over the course of their internship.

Candidates must have a keen interest in the media and entertainment industry and a desire to explore non-traditional aspects of business. Not only should candidates perform given tasks to an exemplary level, they should also be able to identify needs within their business unit and offer ways in which they can exploit these opportunities.

Responsibilities:

  • A comprehensive knowledge of sentence structure and formulation, in understanding multiple written Agreements
  • Analyze Broadcast Program Agreements to identify royalties and understand the financial implications
  • Review royalty statements to ensure royalty calculations are in compliance with Agreements
  • Assist in preparing royalty reports due to Producers and Third Parties.
  • Track and monitor all royalties under Corus\xe2\x80\x99 brands and TV Networks
  • Assist in monthly royalty forecast management reports
  • Prepare invoices and collect on delinquent royalties
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Assist with processing programming inventory transfers
  • Assist with preparation of FSCP schedules
