Intern, Environment


This is a full-time summer internship that takes place from May 11, 2026 to August 28, 2026.

Job Summary



The Intern, Environmental is responsible for strengthening the operational waste programs through data and information analysis.


Major Responsibilities




Leveraging Power BI reports and dashboards to meet the business stakeholders' needs Conducting data analysis to assess minimization, landfill, and non-landfill solutions Providing support on financial auditing, oversight and cost reduction efforts Identifying and reducing contract non-compliance and leakage Developing and measuring vendor key performance indicators (KPIs) an supporting business management and contract reviews Strengthening information and document management systems and controls for operational waste programs Ensuring data security and compliance with best practices Troubleshooting and resolving issues in Power BI reports

Requirements




Strong data analytics skills and understanding key business drivers Proficiency in Power BI, including report and dashboard creation Strong understanding of data modeling and data visualization concepts Familiarity with data warehouse concepts Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and collaboration skills Ability to work independently and as a part of a team Adaptability to changing business requirements Strong interpersonal and communications skills Some travel may be required

Education



A bachelor's degree in business management, data analytics, or relevant fields

Any experience/education/skills/knowledge for these above would be considered as an asset*
