This firm\'s portfolio spans mixed-use residential projects, including both concrete high-rises and mid-rise wood frame structures, as well as commercial designs and smaller infill projects. Our client is seeking a full-time Intern Architect with at least 4 years of post-graduate experience in a local architecture firm.Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparing drawing submissions, building permits, and other construction administration tasks
  • Contribute to the creation of construction drawings and specifications
  • Engage in meetings with clients, consultants, and leadership
  • Develop 3D renderings for project presentations
  • Support re-zoning applications and assist with presentations and responses to municipal design panels and councils
  • Participate in conceptual design work and help develop preliminary plans
  • Perform or coordinate space planning studies, including programming documents, area calculations, and code reviews
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 4 years of post-graduate experience, preferably local
  • Architecture degree from an accredited institution
  • Proficiency in design and 3D modeling, including Revit, AutoCAD, and SketchUp
  • Experience with DD & CD documentation for multifamily, mid-rise wood frame projects in BC
  • Knowledge of sustainable design principles, including LEED, BC Energy Step Code, BC Building Code, and local bylaws
  • Registered Intern or eligible for registration with AIBC
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Keen interest in BIM
