As part of the continuous development of our firm, we are looking for a talented and motivated person to fill the position of
Intern Architect or Junior Architect
to join our
northern team at our Montreal office.
Key Responsabilities
Create detailed drawings and plans using CAD software such as Revit and AutoCAD
Effectively communicate design ideas and concepts to stakeholders
Participate in research and analysis for project design
Prepare cost estimates and proposals for projects under team supervision
Assist the project team during the construction monitoring phase
Assist the project manager in coordination with clients, consultants, and other stakeholders
Participate in reviewing project compliance with local regulations, building standards, and current codes
Conduct site reviews and contract administration
Ensure that work complies with contractual documents and/or specifications
Attend and contribute to meetings and prepare relevant documents (clear agendas, responses to client questions, draft solutions to encountered problems, etc.)
Your Profile
Licensed architect in Quebec or Ontario (OAA or OAQ) or Architectural Candidate
1 to 3 years of professional experience
Computer skills: AutoCAD, Revit, Microsoft Office suite, Adobe Acrobat; familiarity with Photoshop and InDesign are assets
A driver's license would be an asset
Bilingualism (French/English) would be an asset, as you will also be called upon to work with Indigenous communities and our Ontario office
General knowledge of sustainable architecture design principles
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Ability to work in a team and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Attention to detail and ability to solve problems creatively
