Intermediate to Senior Mechanical Designer

PMW Engineering Ltd. is a mechanical engineering firm based in Edmonton, AB, providing consulting services for building mechanical systems.

As an Intermediate Mechanical Designer, the following responsibilities would be expected:

Prepare calculations to properly size mechanical systems, including heat loss, heat gain, plumbing and drainage, HVAC and gas and implement onto drawings.

Coordinate with other project consultants for equipment selections and space requirements.

Check layouts for conflicts against other building elements, eg. Structure.

Communicate clearly with project manager, and outside consultants regarding project requirements, deadlines, and the like.

Design buildings in Revit / AutoCAD

Construction Phase work such as review of shop drawings, site visits, preparing site instructions, etc.

Work as a team player to help out other designers to even out workload.

Qualifications Expected:

3 or more year's experience with mechanical systems in new construction.

Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Engineering & Drafting Technology, Building Environmental Systems Technology, Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Experience with AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, Carrier HAP

Experience in Revit is an asset.

Working knowledge of Mechanical systems.

Working knowledge of Alberta and National Building Codes and standards.

Pay: $60,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
