Intermediate Technologist, Metals and Inogranic Gravimetry
InnoTech Alberta is seeking an Intermediate Technologist to work within our Chemical Testing team in the Monitoring, Analytics & Informatics Services Group.

Reporting to the Laboratory Supervisor, the successful incumbent will be responsible for, but not limited to:

Assist with day-to-day operations in our metals and inorganic gravimetry lab
Ensure proper performance of instrumentation/equipment by maintenance and/or repairs; this includes coordination and communication with instrument vendors
Perform chromatography, acidity, alkalinity, conductivity, and other measurements on aqueous samples.
Operate and maintain instrumentation with adherence to the laboratory quality management system.
Support other activities in the laboratory that enable efficient, balanced, and optimized workloads. This includes routine laboratory tasks.
Data processing for tests performed.
Providing technical support to other junior technologists, assistance with method development and validation, as well as other research & development activities.

Qualifications and skills we are looking for:
A minimum of a Technical diploma in Chemistry or a related discipline; higher level education such as B.Sc./M.Sc./Ph.D will be considered an asset
3 or more years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in an ISO-certified chemical analysis environment
Experience with ion chromatography, titrator and instrumentation will be considered an asset
Self-starter capable to work independently as well as on a highly integrated team
Able to problem solve and pay exacting attention to detail
Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
Strong collaboration skills and demonstrated initiative
Ability to work in a high-performance team environment
Adaptable and flexible to fast paced and ever-changing environment
Computer knowledge including proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word
Good knowledge of QA/QC operating environments
Critical thinking ability
