YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

As an Intermediate Technologist reporting to the firm\xe2\x80\x99s Senior Technologist, your day-to-day duties will include:
  • Support the development of conceptual and technical drawings in Revit and SketchUp.
  • Assist in data collection and analysis for development projects.
  • Conduct research to support the development and review of technical reports and studies.
  • Assist the firm\xe2\x80\x99s Partners with the preparation of project proposals, including technical specifications and design timelines.
  • Collaborate with other team members and consultants to ensure all plans and reports are consistent with the project goals.
  • Maintain and organize project files, technical documents, and other related materials.
  • Participate in meetings, presentations, and other project-related activities.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technology and software updates in the field of urban planning and design.
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Completion of a certified Building Technology or Architectural program in a professionally recognized institution.
  • 2+ years of demonstrated work experience in building technology including wood frame, multi-family residential projects in BC.
  • 2+ years of experience working in Revit.
  • Well-versed in diverse planning technologies, such as Microsoft Suite, Adobe Suite, Revit, SketchUp, Enscape, and Lumion.
  • Comprehensive understanding of BC Building Code, local Zoning Bylaws, Official Community Plans, and other applicable regulations/bylaws.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills to produce/review project statistics.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work both independently and in a collaborative team setting.
  • Excellent communication skills in English (both written and oral).
  • Experienced with detailing and solid understanding of sustainable design considerations.
  • Familiarity with municipal approvals processes.

  • An educational background in Building Code 2018 or multi-family development courses. Foundational knowledge is always helpful!
