DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES As a member of our Structural Engineering team, your duties will include, but are not limited to: \xe2\x80\xa2 Preparing engineering service proposals for senior review; \xe2\x80\xa2 Liaising with clients, government and/or regulatory bodies as well as contractors; \xe2\x80\xa2 Leading the engineering design and managing the project team, schedule and budget on a variety of projects; \xe2\x80\xa2 Providing technical direction and peer review for junior team members; \xe2\x80\xa2 Designing and stamping medium to complex designs; \xe2\x80\xa2 Preparing specifications and drawings for building permit and tender; \xe2\x80\xa2 Maintaining a technical advisory role for clients throughout the project term; \xe2\x80\xa2 Overseeing and providing construction review services; \xe2\x80\xa2 Preparing technical specifications and reports; \xe2\x80\xa2 Overseeing the work of engineering interns and technologists and providing guidance and mentoring to more junior staff; \xe2\x80\xa2 Other duties as may be assigned from time to time QUALIFICATIONS \xe2\x80\xa2 Completion of a university degree in Structural Engineering; \xe2\x80\xa2 Up to 5 years of design experience on structural engineering projects in Ontario; \xe2\x80\xa2 Licensed as a Professional Engineer in Ontario or in process of becoming a P. Eng.; \xe2\x80\xa2 Familiar with all applicable building codes and design standards; \xe2\x80\xa2 Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint; Proficient with AutoCAD and Revit; \xe2\x80\xa2 Working knowledge of structural design software (SFRAME, SAP, Woodworks, etc.); \xe2\x80\xa2 Excellent oral and written communication skills in English; \xe2\x80\xa2 Strong attention to detail, problem solving skills and time management; \xe2\x80\xa2 Ability to work effectively independently or as part of a team; and \xe2\x80\xa2 Possess a valid driver\xe2\x80\x99s license and have access to a vehicle with valid registration and insurance.
