Location: Onsite/Hybrid, 5700 Yonge Street, Toronto, ON
Our client is seeking an Intermediate Software Developer
Key Deliverable for Intermediate Software Developer:
Product Requirements: Translate technical specifications into clean, maintainable Java code using Spring Boot. Understand integration needs and data models to support application features and enterprise architecture standards.
Product Delivery: Build and maintain REST APIs, optimize SQL queries, and implement automated testing (unit and integration). Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and ensure production readiness through secure deployments and adherence to engineering best practices.
Prioritization: Diagnose and resolve production issues promptly, balancing incident management with ongoing development priorities. Optimize performance and security while integrating external and AI-backed services safely.
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to align services with enterprise data integration requirements. Participate in code reviews, documentation, and knowledge sharing to maintain consistency and quality across projects.
Must have:
5-7 years' experience with Java (Java 8+/11+), Spring/Spring Boot, REST APIs, and SQL.
Strong Production Support & Incident Management experience, including SLA adherence, RCA, and runbook usage.
Strong CI/CD fundamentals (Git Branching strategies, build pipelines, automated testing with JUnit).
Excellent troubleshooting, performance tuning, and secure coding skills.
Clear communication and proven ability to work collaboratively in Agile teams.
