Role Description
We have multiple openings for an Intermediate to Senior Environmental Engineer/Geoscientist. This role involves supporting and expanding our team across the Maritimes and Canada, collaborating with engineers and environmental scientists on diverse environmental projects.

Duties:

  • Lead as a Senior Environmental Professional in contaminated sites management for both government and private industry clients.
  • Manage projects, ensuring adherence to scope, schedules, and budgets while coordinating project/field staff effectively.
  • Collaborate within the Environmental Team and across GEMTEC offices to design and execute diverse environmental projects.
  • Manage Phase I, II, and III ESAs, baseline studies, and monitoring programs.
  • Formulate solutions for contaminated site assessment, risk management, and remediation.
  • Provide high quality interactions with clients, regulators, and subcontractors.
  • Develop proposals and review technical deliverables, maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Interpret complex data and deriving conclusive insights, informing strategic project directions
  • Oversee and guide junior team members, involved in the preparation of intricate working drawings.
  • Maintain a client-focused approach, prioritizing customer service excellence.
Qualifications:
  • For the Senior role, a minimum of 10 years\' experience in Environmental Engineering, managing contaminated sites.
  • For the Intermediate role, a minimum of 5 years\' experience in Environmental Engineering, managing contaminated sites.
  • Ability to be registered or currently registered as a P.Eng. or PGeo.
  • Bachelor\'s or master\'s degree in a related field.
  • Proven project management and technical skills.
  • Knowledge of provincial/federal environmental regulations and the
  • Atlantic Risk-Based Corrective Action framework.
  • Strong communication skills, including technical and cost proposals, client management, and field program coordination.
  • Experience in technical and cost proposals, managing budgets, and client relationships.
  • Technical experience in the fields of hydrogeology and/or environmental risk assessment will be considered an asset.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products such Word and Excel are required. Proficiency with other software, such as CAD, GIS, Surfer, gINT, and hydrogeology modeling software, will be an asset.
  • Experience and/or desire to take part in business development initiatives will be considered an asset.
