Job Description

We are looking for a positive and energetic candidate with a minimum of 3-5 years post-graduation work experience with 2 years of residential design. A degree, Diploma or Certificate in Interior Design education is expected. The successful candidate will be working directly with Jennifer Heffel, Principle of the HB Design team and other lead designer\'s to assist in facilitating design and drawing requirements for high end residential projects. We are looking for a refined design & personal sensibility, with a creative and collaborative approach. Junior candidates will be considered if they can display the ability to adapt quickly and prove to us you are a 10/10 employee. Candidates must be able to demonstrate:

• Intuitive ability to support and collaborate with the project Lead Designer in all aspects of the interior design process, but also to advance the project independently.
• Through their expected proficiency in Auto Cad, they will be coached to produce complete interior design packages, including the following:

• Concept development and presentation
• Construction documentation for construction purposes
• Specifications: finishes, lighting, appliance, hardware, and plumbing fixtures
• Custom millwork documentation
• Furniture/fabric, accessories, and artwork specifications

• Applicant will also be able to demonstrate:

• Knowledge in Photoshop, Sketch-up, In-Design, Excel
• Detailed and methodical approach to site reviews.
• Excellent organizational, written and oral communication skills.
• Excellent problem solving skills.
• An enthusiasm for working on multiple projects.
• A personal stylish aesthetic.
• Display a confidant nature.
• They are legally able to work in Canada.
