Let us bring your vision to life with expertly sourced clean ingredients and vegan formulations that make a positive impact on your business and the planet.What are we looking for: The Intermediate QC Chemist will be responsible for generating accurate test results for the raw materials, bulk and finished goods products while following GMP/GLP requirements. He/she will ensure that all raw materials are sampled, analyzed, tested and inspected according to established procedures, compendia and standard testing methods while under minimal supervision.What will you be doing:

  • Prepares test samples and analyzes materials.
  • Inspects and analyzes all incoming raw materials; completes and maintains required documentation and records of analysis
  • Analyzes raw material, bulk, and finished goods samples and maintains data and records on analysis
  • Maintains and controls all raw material and bulk standards or masters
  • Performs instrumental and wet chemistry tasks, sets up and operates lab instrumentation such as HPLC, ICP, XRF, IR, GC, Karl Fischer, Texture Analyzer, pH meter, viscometer, convection oven, etc. ; if required by the test method
  • Interprets and documents all test results, calculations and observations and complete comprehensive reports as required; may review other Analyst's lab notebook for accuracy of calculation and completion
  • Coordinates Out of Specs analytical test results to his superior; conduct investigation and completes OOS Analytical Test report
  • Initiates NCR for non-conforming raw materials and distributes to concerned personnel; contact suppliers when required
  • Maintains a detailed record of all test results and collects data for future specs establishment; initiate specs development and/or modification according to historical data
  • Monitors inventory of lab supplies and reagents need for raw material analysis, and any consumable items for lab instruments
  • Performs general maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment according to established calibration program
  • Troubleshoots instrumentation and method problem and recommends solutions in conjunction with Senior Analyst; or contacts vendor for technical service, as needed
  • Maintains compliance to all health and safety standards, SOP's, GMP, GLP, and regulatory requirements
  • Performs other QAQC related duties as assigned by Supervisor/Manager
What makes you a "Glittering" Candidate:
  • Postsecondary education in Science with a focus in Chemistry/Chemical Engineering and equivalent experience
  • A minimum of 2 years related hands-on lab experience in cosmetics, pharmaceutical quality control, or related industry
  • Hands on experience with HPLC or ICP/MS
  • Training in quality assurance and control functions and analytical testing
  • Must be trained on all lab equipment required for RM and finished product testing
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of GLP and GMP and regulatory requirements
  • Ability to troubleshoot and has excellent problem solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal and good communication skills; self-motivated; highly organized with the ability to work in a fast paced environment
