Role Description
As Senior Hydrogeologist you\'ll be at the forefront of developing conceptual hydrogeological models, providing valuable insights that shape the foundation for comprehensive frameworks in environmental analysis. Your expertise in data analysis, including hydraulic conductivity tests, pump tests, water balance assessments, and geochemical evaluations, will be crucial in informing robust interpretations of hydrogeological phenomena and their interactions with surface water.

Duties:

• Contribute to the formulation of conceptual hydrogeological models, providing valuable input and insights.
• Provide technical oversight for field investigations, including drilling, groundwater sampling, and hydrogeological testing.
• Prepare detailed reports on hydrogeological projects and consult with government bodies for approvals.
• Perform thorough reviews of background documentation, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of project contexts and requirements.
• Manage water, soil, and sediment quality data, ensuring accuracy and completeness in datasets.
• Assist in preparing comprehensive reports and support the development of proposals, conveying findings and recommendations effectively.
• Align with GEMTEC\'s business goals and contribute to the expansion of our civil and environmental engineering teams.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor\'s or master\'s degree in in hydrogeology, engineering, or geology or a related field.
• On path to registration or currently registered as a P.Eng. or PGeo.
• Knowledge of Provincial and Federal regulations and experience with groundwater analysis and modelling.
• Proficiency in industry-standard software for flow and transport modelling.
• Proven collaborator, able to mentor junior staff.
• Capability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment with exceptional organizational skills and a commitment to quality.
• Experience in technical and cost proposals, managing budgets, and client relationships.
• Ability to foster and maintain client relationships, including public consultation and presentations.
