About the Role




We are seeking a Mechanical & Piping Engineer to support proposals, engineering design, and the execution of plant and field projects -- primarily within the Energy, Carbon Capture, and Chemical sectors. This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of technically challenging projects, while gradually taking on more responsibility in client interaction and project coordination.

This role is well-suited for an engineer looking to deepen their expertise while progressively broadening responsibilities. You'll gain exposure to varied projects, develop client-facing experience, and contribute to a collaborative team working on impactful projects across Canada's energy and industrial sectors.

Contribute to building and maintaining client relationships by understanding project needs and delivering quality work. Participate in conceptual design studies and bring forward practical technical input. Prepare and review plans, specifications, and design details. Perform engineering calculations and ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable standards. Support the preparation of technical reports, tender packages, and specifications. Collaborate with EITs, technicians, and drafters by providing guidance and reviewing work. Monitor assigned tasks for compliance with scope, budgets, and schedules. Prepare technical datasheets and ensure documentation is complete and reliable. Occasionally support site activities, including contractor supervision.

Your Qualifications:



Education & Membership: Mechanical Engineering degree and registration with APEGA (or eligibility). Experience: 3-7 years in mechanical/piping engineering, ideally in energy, petrochemical, or chemical industries. Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with codes and standards; experience in pressure vessels, piping, and mechanical equipment selection/design; knowledge of material selection. Software: Proficiency with MS Office; working knowledge of AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Navisworks, and CAESAR II.

Proactive and adaptable, with strong problem-solving ability. Clear communicator with strong teamwork skills. Comfortable working independently and taking initiative. Interest in mentoring junior engineers and technicians. Other Requirements: Available to travel occasionally in Canada and abroad. Asset: Bilingual (English and French).
