Consistently ranked among the top 10 medical schools in Canada, our faculty is among the top faculties of medicine in the world for research impact in biomedical and health sciences.Position Purpose:Contribute to the development and growth of the sector by conceptualizing and executing liaison and recruitment activities which project a positive image of the sector in order to maximize outreach and attract a high caliber of students. Organize and lead promotional and recruitment events and campaigns, generate web content and develop communication plans to project a positive image, promote the brand and increase the visibility of the sector. Act as resource person to employees of the sector on inquires related to communications to ensure compliance with established policies and standards.Typical Accountabilities:Liaison activities: Plan and coordinate visits with future students, parents, and guidancecounsellors to promote programs, achievements, and ongoing activities of the faculty and/or theuniversity. Act as a resource person for inquiries pertaining to program requirements anduniversity services with the objective of increasing the visibility and appeal of the program forfuture students.Events management: Conceptualize and execute events for student recruitment and otherspecial events in order to project a positive image of the faculty and/or the university. To thisend, form and chair event planning committees, identify elements and timelines, monitor andcommunicate progress. Develop event budgets and ensure that all activities take place withinbudget limitations.Promotion: Promote events to target audiences to maximize outreach and participation. To thisend, conceptualize and develop promotional material, maintain strong relationships with keycontacts at secondary schools and other postsecondary institutions and at governmentagencies, develop a student ambassador program and facilitate its activities.Quality assurance: Develop performance indicators and monitor performance by executingconsultations and surveys in order to maximize the effectiveness of liaison and recruitmentactivities of the sector. Analyze results and make improvements to optimize the use ofrecruitment and advertising tools.Trends and needs analysis: Initiate and execute market research studies and analyze resultsto identify priorities and critical paths for all recruitment and liaison activities and to recommendnew initiatives.Communications: Develop and execute an annual communications plan that supports the sector\xe2\x80\x99s communications needs for various internal and external target audiences, contributing to the Client advice: Provide advice and tools to employees of the sector in the preparation of presentations and other communications to ensure visual identity and compliance to communication policies, web, accessibility and official language standards. Act as resource person for the sector for inquiries pertaining to communications policies and procedures.Marketing: Develop and implement marketing strategies for the sector contributing to thecorporate marketing and communications plan. To this end, collaborate with graphic designers and photography and printing resources in the production of marketing material to promote the sector to future students while ensuring compliance with graphic standards.Web content management: Anticipate requirements and generate web content to best meet ongoing business needs while ensuring compliance with web, official language and accessibility standards and established policies.
