We are looking for a intermediate Landscape Designer with a strong technical skill and some construction knowledge and a minimum of 5-10 years of experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop design concepts, construction drawings, and presentation materials
Lead and support the preparation of
proposals, reports, and project documentation
Coordinate with clients, consultants, and
internal teams to ensure project objectives are met
Oversee and manage project timelines and
deliverables
Perform site analysis and integrate field
data into design solutions
Participate in construction administration
and site surveillance during project execution
Ensure designs align with municipal
standards, accessibility, sustainability goals, and budgetary constraints
Contribute to design innovation, quality
control, and mentorship within the team
Participate in business development
activities such as soliciting client, sub-consultants, researching public
proposal, attending conference
Qualifications:
A post-secondary degree from an accredited university in landscape architecture or architectural or civil technician or civil engineering
5-10 years of professional experience in a landscape architecture role
Strong project management and proposal writing experience
Membership of the Ontario Association of landscaping Architects (OALA) is an asset
Demonstrated ability in oral, written and graphic communication
Demonstrated knowledge and skill in technical landscape design (e.g. grading, planting, construction detailing and construction specifications)
proficiency in AutoCAD drafting, adobe suite, Microsoft office, 3D modeling software experience with Mac OS is a plus
Ability to learn Vectorworks
Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
Ability to build report
Time management and planning skills
Valid drivers license and willingness to travel to project sites
Must be organized and able to work in a documented work system
Bilingualism in English and French is an Asset
