From offices in downtown Vancouver and Victoria, WA Architects Ltd. provides a full range of architectural, planning and interior design services. With more than fifty years of practice in Western Canada, our firm is widely recognized for expertise in retail, residential, mixed-use, office and senior health-care projects. We are dedicated to high quality design, exceptional client service and the incorporation of sustainable design principles in our projects.

We have an opening for an Intermediate Interior Designer in our Vancouver office with the following required skills and expertise:

Completion of a certified Interior Design program in a professionally recognized institution; Bachelor's degree in Interior Design would be an asset. Minimum five years of experience with a Canadian multi-disciplinary architectural or interior design firm; Proficient with AutoCAD and SketchUp. Experience in Revit, Enscape, Photoshop or InDesign would be an asset. Significant experience with a wide variety of project types including commercial tenant improvements, multi-family residential and hospitality projects. Demonstrated ability to prepare and assemble drawing packages for the above noted construction types, from Design concept, BP, Tender, to IFC. Experience with construction & millwork detailing. Ability to source and specify interior finishes and FF&E. Experience with consultant coordination and preparing building permit application packages in various municipalities. Familiarity with 2024 BC Building Code. Excellent graphic and presentation skills. Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to work both independently and in a team setting. Excellent communication skills in English (both written and oral). Ability to effectively communicate & coordinate with Senior Project Designer, Project Architect, Clients, Consultants, and Construction & Municipal staff. Proficient time management skills with ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to articulate alignment with our WA Guiding Principles.

Pay: $75,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
