Overview of role:



The Intermediate HRIS Technical Analyst is a technical and functional resource within the Enterprise Technologies - IT People team, supporting JD Edwards Enterprise 9.2 and Dayforce HCM and payroll modules. The Intermediate Analyst will support WestJet's journey to transition from our current on-premises JD Edwards HCM and Payroll to Dayforce's cloud-based HCM system by working with both the operational team and the project team through design and implementation.





The Intermediate Analyst will work within the current JD Edwards system by administering day-to-day support for the Payroll and People Services teams by supporting critical improvements, troubleshooting issues, supporting reporting needs through SQL and resolving incidents. When the transition to Dayforce is complete, the Intermediate Analyst will administer day-to-day support for Dayforce.





The Intermediate Analyst will also be asked to provide input on developing requirements, proposing solutions and contributing to the design of Dayforce's HCM modules. Playing a key role in change, incident, and operational management for the product stack, the Intermediate Analyst will maintain the stability and functionality of the systems supported.




Key deliverables / responsibilities include:




Reporting, mass corrections, bug fixes, and rate table management. Support the configuration of HCM foundational tables, data elements and objects, UBE definitions, and SQL interface support, creation and running within JD Edwards Contribute to requirements, spec documents, design, and delivery of Dayforce HCM Participate in sprint stages for the project delivery team and operational team. Understanding of overall architecture of technology supported and how to identify and troubleshoot challenges Ticket management within ServiceNow and Jira Follow established practices for IT Change Management Maintain and identify areas for improvement of security posture within technology supported



Experience and qualifications:




Bachelor's degree in Technical Field 3+ years in JD Edwards HCM and/or other HCM cloud-based support preferred ITIL certification preferred Excellent time management skills, ability to manage multiple items Incident and problem management skills Willingness to learn related technology and business process Ability to determine root cause from outcomes
