Our client is a renowned and respected real estate developer/builder in search of an experienced estimator to join their team. This exciting opportunity entails on captivating residential projects with a well-established organization!

ABOUT OUR CLIENT

Our client has been engaged in constructing residential developments in Canada and the United States for almost four decades. Currently, the majority of their endeavors revolve around low-rise multi-family properties in BC. They have internal construction teams and collaborate with general contractors. ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

You will have the chance to work directly under the Chief Estimator and grow your skills. We are seeking a motivated and driven individual with prior experience as a quantity surveyor to join our team.

ABOUT THE POSITION

This is primarily an office-based role. Your responsibilities will include:

• Assess and estimate construction project costs
• Analyze project requirements and review plans
• Gather data for determining materials, labor, and equipment needs
• Collaborate with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams for accurate pricing
• Contribute with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams for accurate pricing

THE REQUIREMENTS

• 2+ years of experience as an estimator with a GC or Developer
• Previous experience estimating concrete and wood-frame residential projects ($25M to $250M)
• Knowledge of elemental estimating technique is an asset
• Quantity Surveyor preferred
• Software experience: PlanSwift, Bluebeam and On-Screen Takeoff

COMPENSATION

• Salary: up to $100,000.00 experience dependent.
• 100% Employer paid benefits.
• 2-3 weeks vacation.
