TerraLogix is built on providing excellent environmental management services while still providing cost effective environmental solutions for the Upstream Oil and Gas Industry. We are experienced in the development and coordination of environmental assessment programs, environmental project management and on-site project supervision. Currently TerraLogix's offices are located in Calgary, Edmonton, and Medicine Hat, Alberta.

Exciting opportunities exist for an intermediate environmental professional with environmental experience in the upstream oil and gas reclamation and remediation field, based out of our Edmonton office. The successful candidate(s) will be involved in various aspects of a variety of projects.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Preparing and reviewing Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESA) and associated reporting. Supervising field execution of Phase 2 ESAs including but not limited to action plan development, supervision of drilling and soil & groundwater sampling activities, analytical interpretation, and technical report writing. Assist with the planning, execution, and supervision of remediation programs, including on-site supervision, contractor management and cost tracking.
- Experience with alternative remedial options including soil and groundwater treatment, Tier 2 implementation, and/or use of the Subsoil Salinity Tool (SST) would be considered an asset.

Conducting detailed site assessments (DSA) in cultivated, native prairie, forested and peatland ecosystems. Preparing and reviewing DSA reports and submission of Reclamation Certificate Applications.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the Record of Observation Tool would be considered an asset.

Knowledge of the AER OneStop Tool and ability to complete reclamation and remediation submissions (e.g., Phase 1 and 2 ESAs, ROSCs, RCAs etc.). Comply with Health and Safety policies and principles

Qualifications:

The successful candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:

A degree or diploma in Environmental Science, Biology, Environmental Engineering, Geology, or other relevant Environmental Program with 3-5 years of relevant experience. Registration with a relevant professional organization as either a professional or in-training member. Strong familiarity with OneStop, and ability to complete reclamation and remediation submissions is considered an asset. Competent in the field components of soil and vegetation assessments, including weed assessments, Phase 1 ESAs, Phase 2 ESAs, remedial work, reclamation work and groundwater monitoring. Experience in major and minor reclamation activities in cultivated and forested ecosystems is considered an asset. Strong familiarity with ERCB Directives 50 and 58, Alberta Environment Reclamation Criteria (Green, White and Federal lands), Alberta Tier 1 and 2 Guidelines and CCME guidelines. Possess strong interpersonal skills, communication skills and technical writing skills and be able to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team and provide leadership and mentorship to junior staff. Experience working in British Columbia and/or Saskatchewan, and familiarity with the applicable oil and gas regulations would be considered an asset.

An attractive compensation package, consisting of an hourly wage with overtime, full health and dental benefits, RRSP contribution plan and bonus incentives, awaits the successful candidate.
