What You'll Do

Responsible for working in a team environment and with senior and junior staff to identify innovative solutions, project opportunities, pursue competitive opportunities, and deliver projects on a wide range of infrastructure design projects. Provide expertise through various engineering phases including; conceptual, PFS, FS, detailed design, and execution. Develop design criteria. Develop process flow sheets and P&ID's. Size pumping equipment and develop specifications. Develop process narratives. Conduct field reviews and respond to contractor RFI's. Attend start up and commissioning phases. Preparing technical documents including; mine water management plans, reports, technical specifications and construction drawing packages from feasibility studies to detailed design, cost estimates, tendering, and construction services. Perform hydraulic modeling, design calculations, and feasibility studies for infrastructure projects. Managing projects including preparing proposals, developing work plans and fee estimates, invoicing, change orders, and budget tracking. Interacting and interfacing with clients, regulators and the public as opportunities arise. Examples of projects you may work on include; planning and design of mine water management systems, pumping stations, reservoirs, and storage tanks, dedicated water supply systems, and mine site dewatering systems. Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, legislation, and industry standards. Pursue continuous professional development and maintain a high degree of discipline knowledge and awareness. Work in a safe manner at all times and report all health and safety incidents and concerns.

What You'll Bring

A positive and motivated personality! Bachelor's degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering 5-10 years as a P.Eng. with relevant experience in water infrastructure design, preferably for industrial applications. Registered or eligible to be registered as a professional engineer in Alberta and British Columbia Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil3D. Strong proficiency with MS Excel. Familiarity with Python, HECRas and/or GoldSIM would be an asset. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written) and be able to work with team members in a multi-disciplinary environment A desire to learn new skills and an eagerness to grow within your role A valid driver's license (in good standing) is mandatory Must be physically able to conduct field visits commensurate with project work. This may include handling and operation of equipment, travel to remote areas by vehicle, boat, air or foot, and outdoor site visits in all weather conditions on uneven/varying ground terrain.

Wage Range

$124,000 - 137,000, wage dependent on years of experience
