POSITION:



We are currently seeking a full-time

Intermediate Electrical Engineer



Job Summary:

Qualified candidates must be able to complete projects independently, applying their engineering knowledge to project work from conceptual design through to completion.

Role and responsibilities:

Initiate and complete electrical engineering drawings for a multitude of projects Perform hands-on designs, calculations (ETAP), and evaluations to produce deliverables such as fugitive emission studies, hazardous area classifications, single line diagrams, power, lighting and grounding layouts, cable schedules, control and wiring schematics, arc flash, coordination studies Prepare design and project documents (reports, drawings and specifications) Respond to tender queries regarding project documents Assist in evaluating tenders Provide field construction support Liaison with clients, vendors and other professional

Qualifications:

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:

Degree in Electrical Engineering; relevant advanced degree advantageous Professional engineering license (P.Eng.) with Canadian experience registered with APEGA Expert Knowledge with the Canadian Electrical Code as well as referenced standards (API, IEEE) Strong knowledge of electrical systems design including medium and low voltage power distribution. Minimum 5 years' experience delivering projects in a broad range of sectors including Gas Facilities, Oil Battery's, Well Sites, Co-generation / generation new construction and major renovation with increasing responsibility. Ability to lead the electrical engineering for a project from conception to completion, including RFP submissions, concept design, schematic design, design development, contract documentation, specifications and contract administration. Experience attending design coordination meetings with Mechanical and Civil Disciplines along with owners. Experience with specifying and evaluating electrical equipment such as transformers, switchgear, motor control centers, panels and relays Experience with design of cable trays, cable schedules, control, lighting, grounding and wiring Experience with voltages from 24V to 25kV Experience with construction phase related service support. Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment, meet quick deadlines, and handle multiple projects. Proficiency with MS Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook) Working knowledge of ETAP

Working conditions are primarily in-office from 8:00am to 4:30pm, Monday to Friday. Occasional field work will be required.
