Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in construction estimating and project management, with the ability to analyze project specifications and prepare accurate cost estimates. This role is crucial for ensuring that projects are completed within budget and on schedule, while maintaining high standards of quality.

Duties

Review project plans, specifications, and related documents to prepare detailed cost estimates. Utilize software tools such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid to create and manage estimates. Conduct site visits to gather data for accurate pricing and assess project requirements. Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to ensure alignment on project scope and costs. Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers to secure competitive pricing. Prepare reports on estimated versus actual costs, providing insights for future projects. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, materials, and best practices in construction estimating.

Skills

Proficiency in Excel, Bluebeam and HeavyBid software for estimating purposes. Strong negotiation skills to effectively manage contracts with vendors and subcontractors. Comprehensive understanding of construction estimating principles and practices. Ability to analyze pricing structures and develop competitive bids. Familiarity with construction site operations and management processes. Knowledge of contracts related to construction projects. Ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Pay: $50,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
