Our team in Canada is growing, we are currently recruiting for an Intermediate Draftsperson to join our Infrastructure Engineering Business line in the Burnaby office. This person will work closely with the Electrical team to deliver high quality design drawings.

About the Role

Deliver design drafting according to key deliverables by preparing design drawings on time and to quality standards. Maintain consistent design standards across projects by understanding and adhering to Ausenco and client design drafting standards Ensure drawings produced are balanced, symmetrical and have a neat appearance. Provide support to the drawing office by assisting engineers, designers and performing a range of tasks as required. Provide design suggestions where appropriate, think outside the box. Comply with relevant business management system (or quality) policies & procedures. Develop the capability of Ausenco in relation to design drafting by seeking advice and support from more experienced engineers and designers Work with engineers, designers and drafters across the business in a range of design tasks Liaise with engineers and senior designers for direction, specifications, and feedback

About You

Technical diploma from an accredited post-secondary institution in CADD / Drafting Proficient with AutoCAD Proficient with Microsoft Office applications 4-8 years' experience (in a consulting engineering firm preferred) Proven attention to detail Strong analytical skills Written and oral communication skills Commitment and enthusiasm for learning Able to work and communicate in a team environment Self-motivated with good time management and adherence to deadlines Previous work in the electrical field (distribution and generation) will be an asset Previous work with civil drawings will be an asset Experience with Microstation, 3D modelling (AutoCAD 3D, Smart Plant, Navisworks etc.), and AutoCAD Electrical will be an asset

Salary range: $70,000 - $85,000

Variation in salary is determined by factors such as qualifications, relevant years of experience, and prevailing market conditions for the specific role.
