Position Overview: Intermediate Contaminated Sites Project Manager

Position Overview:
LEGACY is seeking a highly organized and detail oriented intermediate level Contaminated Sites Project Manager (5+ years as PM), ideally based in the Lower Mainland area to support our British Columbia operations. The successful candidate will be highly motivated, posses project management and regulatory experience in contaminated sites, and want to work with a team that acknowledges and awards high performance. If successful, your primary role will be within LEGACY's Contaminated Sites team, where you will work closely with senior environmental practitioners and contribute to a diverse range of projects across British Columbia. These projects span multiple sectors, including land development, oil and gas, and government, and offer exposure to varied and engaging work.
Responsibilities:
As an Intermediate Project Manager in LEGACY's Contaminated sites practice, your role expectations include, but are not limited to, the following tasks and responsibilities:
Managing Phase I/II/III Environmental Site Assessment, Stage 1 & 2 Preliminary Site Investigation, Detailed Site Investigations, Remediation and regulatory submissions.
Managing Emergency Spill Response programs.
Providing appropriate contaminated sites regulatory and technical overview under the direction of senior practitioners, to deliver on projects locally and regionally, where relevant.
Authoring and preparing technical reports and work plans with technical oversight as needed.
Contributing to the preparation of project cost estimates in collaboration with all relevant disciplines.
Ensuring all deliverables adhere to specifications, scope, budget, and schedule, and comply with quality procedures and project plans.
Working closely with project teams to define, align, and achieve project objectives through collaboration and proactive problem-solving.
Coordinating and participating regularly in project meetings to monitor progress and address and resolve issues that arise.
Conducting reviews and quality checks on applicable projects to uphold standards and best practices.
Adhering to and championing our health & safety and quality control policies.
Training and mentoring staff.
Qualifications:

Strong communication, organizational and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
Highly motivated and willing to take ownership of tasks, while remaining flexible and able to adapt to dynamic project priorities and timelines.
Enjoy a fast-paced work environment with a focus on high-quality data and deliverables.
College diploma or university degree in environmental technology, science, engineering, or related discipline.
Possess or are eligible for professional or technical designation.
Proficiency with Word, Excel and Outlook.
