The Intermediate Business Intelligence Technology Analyst is primarily responsible to ensure that enterprise business intelligence data is available to key stakeholders at the university through reports and dashboards. The Intermediate Business Intelligence Technology Analyst will develop and maintain reports and dashboards based on stakeholder requirements and follow the standards set by the Business Intelligence Technology Manager.
The Intermediate Business Intelligence Technology Analyst is an expert in reporting, data visualization and analysis. The position will be highly skilled in modern reporting tools and best practices to create reports to meet the decision- making needs of stakeholders. The position will perform ad hoc analysis to answer unique or more complex situations that arise. The Intermediate Business Intelligence Technology Analyst will perform and maintain monitor automated and manual data validation processes to ensure.
Job Requirements
A Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Math, Statistics, or a similar discipline
Minimum of three years of experience related to a data analyst or business intelligence role.
Excellent quantitative, analytical reasoning and problem-solving skills.
Demonstrated ability in extracting and transforming data and synthesize useful information through a variety of methods and tools.
Expertise in data visualization and analysis using Power BI, including advanced data transformation with DAX and Power Query (M language)
Demonstrated ability to interact, build strong relationships and work with individuals from a variety of backgrounds and at various levels within the organization using collaborative leadership and coaching skills.
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), including the ability to communicate technical concepts and information to non-technical staff in a manner that can be easily understood.
Able to manage change and conflict. Anticipates and plans for change. Helps people deal with change and resolve conflict through mentoring, encouragement, and effective conflict resolution techniques.
Knowledge of statistical analysis using software such as SPSS, R, or Excel an asset
Experience and knowledge in designing and implementing data integration workflows using Azure Data Factory (ADF), SSIS, or similar ETL platforms an asset.
Knowledge of BC post-secondary education system is an asset

This is a regular, full-time position working 37.5 hours per week. This position has been evaluated at MPT-C with a salary range of $76,430 (minimum) to $89,820 (midpoint) to $103,209 (maximum) per annum. Employment offers will normally be made between the minimum and midpoint of the range and are determined by knowledge, experience and internal equity.
