This is a permanent, full-time opportunity for the position of Intermediate Biologist/Environmental Monitor, supporting our EDI Saskatoon team on various projects throughout Saskatchewan, as well as western Canada.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

\xc2\xb7 Conduct/lead field surveys including aquatic or terrestrial components of baseline inventories

\xc2\xb7 Conduct environmental monitoring for construction projects across various ecoregions in Saskatchewan

\xc2\xb7 Conduct/assist with data entry, analysis and technical reporting including environmental screenings, permit applications, environmental assessments, environmental management plans, and as-built monitoring reports

\xc2\xb7 Communicate with existing and potential clients leveraging your technical knowledge as opportunities arise in collaboration with the EDI team

\xc2\xb7 Collaborate with the EDI team to execute proposals

\xc2\xb7 Support other staff/projects within EDI

\xc2\xb7 Maintain full COVID vaccination passport/documentation

\xc2\xb7 Participate proactively in EDI\'s health and safety program

We are looking for someone with:

\xc2\xb7 Knowledge of regulatory processes/applications and industry/market sector requirements

\xc2\xb7 A desire to mentor junior staff

\xc2\xb7 The ability to conduct fieldwork in remote locations and/or travel between offices

\xc2\xb7 The aptitude to work collaboratively and effectively with junior, intermediate and senior staff of different disciplines, within teams on various projects of differing complexity, and with First Nations, sub-consultants and government agencies

Job requirements include:

\xc2\xb7 A minimum of 5 years of related experience (or equivalent)

\xc2\xb7 B.Sc. degree in biology or related discipline(s); M.Sc. degree optional

\xc2\xb7 Registration or eligibility for registration as R.P.Bio., P.Biol. or P.Ag.

\xc2\xb7 Demonstrated experience in:

- Leading a field crew for aquatic or terrestrial components of baseline inventory, and/or monitoring surveys

- Environmental monitoring for construction projects

- Professional report writing and data analysis

\xc2\xb7 Class 5 driver\'s licence
